Gelato was created by Mr. Sherbinski and the Cookie Fam in San Francisco. The most famous phenotype is Gelato #33 (also called 'Larry Bird' after his jersey number). Gelato #41 is another highly prized cut. The strain won multiple awards and became one of the most cultivated genetics worldwide, spawning further crosses like Gelato Cake and Biscotti.
