History & Origin
DJ Short created Blueberry in the late 1970s in Oregon by crossing a male Afghan indica with a female hybrid of Highland Thai and Purple Thai/Afghan. The strain was later refined in the Netherlands with Dutch Passion, where it won the High Times Cannabis Cup for Best Indica in 2000. Blueberry's genetics live on in Blue Dream, Blue Cheese, and many other modern strains.
